WHAT TO KNOW RIGHT NOW ~

The federal government was shut down on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Another historical moment for this government and our country.  Lawmakers on both sides failed to agree on a short-term funding measure ahead of the deadline.  What a senseless waste of leadership on again, both parts. 

This results in all “nonessential” government functions experiencing a sudden halt with numerous federal workers finding themselves furloughed or working without pay. 

However, the market appears unfazed by these paralyzing changes and has somehow remained on target to break record highs. Investors should still remain very vigilant with their portfolios as anything can and will happen with all of the new normal uncertainties.  

Always remember to BUY LOW and SELL HIGH.  Do not be fooled by the elevator to the top movement happening right now.  Follow the charts still. Charts don't lie.  Keep your eyes and ears open to everything going on in the financial world.  Apparently, the government we have right now feels they have a say in every entity of the country and Americans are paying dearly in all areas.  Stay informed and if you're not an investor, you should be and not a bank customer. Create your own path today and invest in yourself for yourself.

1. Zoom Out. Daily headlines can feel overwhelming, but remember that investing is a long-term game. Looking at the market in weeks or years — rather than days — helps you tune out the noise and stay grounded in your financial goals.

5. Control What You Can. You can’t control the headlines, but you can control how you react. Focus on things like savings rate, asset allocation, and rebalancing — and let the markets do what they do best: adapt and grow over time.
